Antique Archaeology, Grand Ole Opry, Centennial Park (Gma's 1st Visit to Nashville)

My mom helped me do the 3-day drive to Nashville with the kiddos... and stayed for a few days after to explore Nashville! We love the show "American Pickers"... and one of their stores is about 10 minutes from us... it was so great to see the neat stuff they bought off the show...such a awesome store!  We didn't have to wait when we went... but this past weekend when we drove by, there was a line AROUND the block to get in! I think they make all their money off the T-Shirts they sell there...

Carter spent the whole time playing with one of Elvis' mics... (oops). None of the workers acted like it was a big deal and it wasn't easily breakable... so.... we let him play. He was just singing away... He begged me to sing with him... so I did...(I mean... it was Elvis' mic!)

Had to keep dragging Carter away from this Antique DonaldDuck... he was $2500... Please don't touch the duck C!

Motorcycle!! ($3800)... don't touch the bike!! Elvis guitars... Not For Sale... Don't Touch!! (This was the key phrase of the store.... Don't touch!!

We also made to the Ryman Auditorium... the old Grand Ole Opry... It was a neat place to see.

Johnny Cash's boots!

We also went to Centennial Park which is one of the biggest parks in Nashville... there's a big train...

There is a lifesize replica of the Parthenon... something about it being a gift given to Nashville or something... (I dunno, when it starts to get to detailed on historical stuff I kinda loose focus;)

There's this big jet... Carter thought was really cool... I don't have any pics but there's a big duck pond and they ducks are the most well-fed ducks ever. Its a huge pong with tons of ducks... but they get fed so much they just don't even care... it was so wierd!
My mom's friend Scott Bernard, who plays with Kenny Loggins (yes, of Footloose fame.. and she is a super-fan) lives in Nashville, he and his wife came down to show us downtown Nashville and he was kind enough to show Carter his REAL guitar.... Carter was impressed (He likes guitars)... He even let him strum it... which is a pretty big deal I guess cuz it's an expensive guitar... (I don't know the difference... but it looked perrty).
Anyhew... it was fun to start of the summer exploring Nashville! Lots more to come as I'm finally starting to catch up on my blog!

Kestlee's growing up fast!!

So Kestlee girl is 3 months... ok almost 4 months old... (I'm way behind on blogging... deal with it!) Here'es a few tidbits of all things Kestlee...

*She has been the EASIEST baby... I thought Carter was easy... she's easier. She's slept at least 10 hours a night since she was born... usually a good 12 hours... maybe waking once around 4 or 5 to eat but then right back to sleep. (My lack of sleeping is all due to Carter!)
*She giggles and smiles all the time... as soon as she makes eye contact she gives you one of her adorable chubby-cheeked smiles!
*She ADORES her big brother... I take pics to remind them of it in a few years when they are screaming at each other...
*She is so close to rolling over...
*She LOVES tummytime. LOVES it.
* She's teething already... the past few weeks she's been chomping on things nonstop... her hands, my knuckles... I bought her this cute little elephant that she chomps on too...
*She's 3 months... what else is there to say?! She's so much fun and we just adore her so freakin much!! Here's pictures for proof of her irresistible cuteness!!

Loveybuggies Photoshoot...

So I just realized I never posted these... Kestlee got to be a model when she was 3 weeks old for Loveybuggies... my friend Terina Matthews is a photographer and she needed a baby to take pictures of these awesome accessories ... Might I say Terina does a wonderful job! I just love them... I know she's almost 4 months old now... but I 've been busy with moving and realized I'm way behind in the blogosphere!  If you want any accessories check facebook for Loveybuggies page... and I think she's working on her website... if you want Terina to take amazing picutures for you... check her out at www.terinamatthewsphotography.com !

Mini-Golf Mayhem!!

We decided to take our little golfer to his first Mini-Golf session for Family Night... Oh man, was it a HIT! It was Carter Rules Golf... so he pretty much got to hit every ball, then put it wherever he wants after... he also rearranged ours when we hit them... Sometimes, he'd put them right next to the hole (so close they'd fall in sometimes;) but we didn't care cuz it was so fun to watch him run all over the course...
He actually got a hole-in-one! Move over McIlroy... there's a new #1 golfer in the world!

All our shots involved Carter hovering near or over the hole... didn't matter since he'd run over after we hit the ball and go "Thank You!" as if we were hitting them over to him so he could hit another one... which he did. He's hard to say no to!
Half the time this was the view... we spent 20 minutes on the 1st hole... then he realized there were LOTS of other holes... and kept running to the next...

Kestlee was just enjoying being out in the sun... Gma was just enjoying being with Kestlee ;)
 In the bunker!

Gpa helping him line up his shot...

All the boys ...

This was C's favorite hole... it's the one where you hit the ball in the house and it comes out the other side... he kept throwing balls in and running around to watch it come out... he thought it was magical...

SO happy...

Dad and Son...

Yeaaaaahhh!!

Kestlee chillin in the stroller...

Final hole... Uh on this one doesn't give the balls back..

Once he realized he  didn't get the balls back on the 18th hole... he tried to jump the course and start over... (the boy LOVES golf)...
Time  to go home.... NOT happy! OH well... he had tons of fun til we told him it was time to go!
