Good Ole Sis Hinckley...

I spoke on Service today in Church and I used this quote in it... I loved it.. That sweet Sis. Hinckley... no wonder Gordi B loved her so much!

CarterBoy turns ONE!!

Well

Well... my baby boy turned ONE today!!! I can't believe it! I made him a jungle cake.. and a mini jungle cake for Carter to enjoy all to himself! We had our families over for a little birthday fun.. Pizza... cake and ice cream! Carter enjoyed all his fun new toys! Anything involving Balls, Hats, and/or Cars makes him happy... and now dinosaurs it seems. He's a BOY. He wasn't too into devouring the cake... He doesn't really like to get dirty... so not too fun cake shots! We got him a blow up car/ball pin... and my parents got him this cool dino that crawls and growls! They also got him this ball popping toy that he loves but gets a little scared of sometimes! The Orellano's got him a big huge bag o balls to fill up the car... He's a happy guy!

A couple fun things about our 1 yr old...

*He's walking... sometimes! He was doing great.. then got stubborn... He does it when he thinks we aren't watching... silly guy!

*He LOVES music. He jams out to any music that's playing.. even just our cell phones ringing!

*Speaking of cell phones... he LOVES those too!! I've grabbed a few of my old ones for him to play with so he doesn't ruin our nice ones.

*He has 8 teeth!

*Favorite Foods: Popcorn... Goldfish... Fries... Applesauce... Cheese! He also LOVES ice cream but he doesn't get much of that ;)

*He's very tall and skinny... He wears 12 month pants but they are so big on the waist!

*His hair is still so LONG... but the good news is the rest of his head is catching up with the mohawk!

*He can play in the tub for a good long hour and not get bored... seriously... I just take my phone with me and surf the www while he's splashin' around

*I adore him and can't wait for the next year of this stud's life!

Our New Toy...

So... I never thought I'd say this... but I LOVE OUR NEW TRUCK!! We were looking to buy an older 4runner... but then we ran into this beauty and never looked back... My back has been KILLING me, getting Carter's cute little butt out of the civic. I love every inch of this truck. I never thought I'd be converted... but I totally am.

Naked and Sickkko...

Well.. we have been stuck in the house for about 2 weeks now... we've all been really sick and it just won't go away! On top of that... Carter has had this RIDICULOUS diaper rash that would NOT go away. WE tried every suggestion we received... We finally took him to Urgent Care and he got antibiotics and a creme for his rash that just made it worse! Finally I had enough... I ripped the diaper off, threw towels and blankets down, and let him "roam free..." for 2 days. Lo and Behold... it cleared it up. Yes... I agree that sound gross.. but desperate times call for desperate measures! The towels worked out great cuz I'd just pull em up when he'd have an accident and replace it with a new one!

Oh, the joys of Motherhood! Thankfully Carter's doing much better! I broke down and went to the doc myself today and got antibiotics... so hopefully we will be all healthy soon!

Cruisin...

So I hardly took any pics on the Northstar Cruise... and the ones I did were with my Cell Phone... but we had a great, relaxing time! Well.. after the stinkin flight delays. BUT the airport ending up being interesting... Brendan Frasier was on our flight and he was SUPER nice... we ended up talking to him the whole flight delay.

We went to Key West for a day, and Cozumel. The weather was absolutely gorgeous... thank goodness. (usually we end up leaving great weather in CA and travel to worse weather... thankfully the weather cooperated!).

It was really hard to leave Carter for so long... but it was really nice to get away and relax after the long summer... Even better when the whole trip is free thanks to Northstar and Danny's hard work!

Pumpkin Patchin!

Sorry for the millions of pictures with Pumpkins... but I love this kid and Pumpkins too! We went over the little pumpkin patch for FHE and Carter loved it! There was a little Petting Zoo too... which Carter loved of course... til the billygoat stepped on Carter's finger... then it was time to go home ;) Happy Fall!

Pardon the shadows... I tried to limit them as much as possible with my non-skills... but we went right at 5 and the shadows were vicious!
